Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Fig 1: Battery Positive Cable, Protective Cover & Fastener

  3. Remove the protective cover (2) to the battery positive cable (3).
  4. Remove the fastener (1) connecting the battery positive cable (3) to the passthrough stud.

  6. Remove the protective sleeve covering the battery positive extension cable (2).
  7. Remove the passthrough stud (1) and remove the battery positive extension cable (2).

  9. Detach the battery positive extension cable retainers (1), from the frame rail.

  11. Remove the junction block cover (1) and remove the battery positive cable junction block stud (2).
  12. Remove the engine wiring and battery positive cable with the attached mega fuse case (3), from the junction block (4).

  14. Remove the starter solenoid wiring harness (1) and the battery positive extension cable (2), from the junction block (3).

  16. Detach the battery positive extension cable (1) from the harness cable conduit (2).
  17. Remove the battery positive cable (1) from the engine compartment.
