Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

1. Place the window in the full down position.
2. Remove front side door inner sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
3. Remove Outside Rearview Mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (DL6, DL9)Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement (DBI) .
4. Remove front side door radio speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement .
5. Remove front side door water deflector.

Procedures

1. Grasping both upper corners of the front side door window weatherstrip, pull downward releasing the weatherstrip from the door frame.
2. Pull the weatherstrip upward, releasing the weatherstrip from the front and rear channel.
3. Insert the weatherstrip downward in the front and rear channel until fully seated.
4. Position the window weatherstrip in both corners of the frame, working the weatherstrip around the frame.
5. Carefully move the regulator upward for short slow intervals, while ensuring that the window remains in the channels.
