Installation Procedure

NOTE:
A second technician is required.

Install the fuel tank (1) to the jack (3).
Position and raise the fuel tank (1).
Fuel Tank Strap(2) - Install[2x]

CAUTION:

Fuel Tank Strap Bolt(4) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)[4x]
Lower and remove the hydraulic jack.(3)
Connect the electrical connector.(1)
Evaporative Emission Canister Filter Pipe(2) - Reposition
Evaporative Emission Canister Filter Pipe(2)@Evaporative Emission Canister(1) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Close all connections with EN-6015 plugs.
Connect the evaporative emission canister front pipe (1). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Fuel Feed Pipe - Underbody(1) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
Remove the EN-6015 plugs from all connections.
Fuel Tank Vent Pipe(1) - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
Fuel Tank Filler Hose(2) - Install
Clamp(3) - Tighten 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
Position both parking brake cables.
Parking Brake Cable(2)@Parking Brake Cable Bracket(1) - Install
Parking Brake Cable(2)@Retainer(4) - Install[2x]
Parking Brake Cable Nut(3) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)[2x]
Fuel Tank Heat Shield(1) - Install - Fuel Tank Heat Shield Replacement (1.4L LE2, and 1.6L Diesel LH7 - Notchback)Fuel Tank Heat Shield Replacement (1.6L Diesel LH7 - Hatchback)
NOTE:
Do not cut the exhaust system.

Exhaust System(1) - Install - Exhaust System Replacement (Notchback)Exhaust System Replacement (Hatchback)Exhaust System Replacement (1.6L Diesel LH7)
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
