Installation Procedure

  1. GM4639258Courtesy of GENERAL MOTORS COMPANY

    Hand start the glow plugs (1) into the cylinder head. [4x]

      CAUTION:

      Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    2. Tighten the glow plugs to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

    Diesel Glow Plug Wiring Harness (1) - Connect [4x]

    Diesel Fuel Separator (2) - Install

  4. Exhaust Temperature Sensor Bracket (3) - Install
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Clip Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 5.5 N.m (49 lb in)
  6. Fuel Injector Deadener Replacement  - Install
