Installation Procedure

  1. GM4859669
    NOTE:

    A NEW sensor will come with a NEW seal.

    Install the NEW crankshaft position sensor seal (3).

  2. Lubricate the NEW crankshaft position sensor seal (3) with clean engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the crankshaft position sensor.
  4. With the electrical connector connected, install the crankshaft position sensor (1) into the engine.
  5. GM4843134
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the crankshaft position sensor bolt (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the engine wiring harness clip (1) to the engine block.
  7. GM4644493

    Connect the power transfer unit vent hose (1) to the power transfer unit.

  8. Exhaust Front Muffler - Install - Exhaust Front Muffler Replacement (LFY)
  9. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  10. Perform the crankshaft position variation learn. Crankshaft Position Variation Learn
