Installation Procedure

  1. GM4098031

    Battery Monitor Module(2) - Install

  2. Battery Negative Post Clamp Nut(1) - Tighten 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)
  3. GM4098029
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Use an open ended wrench to hold the battery sensor ground tab, while tightening the battery negative cable nut.

  4. Battery Negative Cable(2) - Install
  5. Battery Negative Cable Nut(3) - Install and tighten 11 N.m (97 lb in)
  6. GM4098026

    Connect the electrical connector.(1)

  7. Program all of the customer's radio station presets and set the radio clock to the current time.
  8. Perform the battery sensor learn procedure. Battery Sensor Module Learn
