Installation Procedure
- Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket - Install - Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement
Install the electronic brake and traction control module and brake pressure modulator valve along with the brake pressure modulator valve bracket to the vehicle.
- Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
- Brake Pipe Fitting (2) - Tighten [4x] 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
Electrical Connector (2) @ Electronic Brake Control Module (1) - Connect
- Clip in the wiring harness to the brake pressure modulator valve bracket.
- WARNING:
Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe (1) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) - Install and tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
- WARNING:
Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Pipe (1) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) - Install and tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Install
- Radiator Surge Tank Bracket Clip (2) - Install
- Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover - Install - Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement
- Battery Negative Cable - Connect - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- K17 Electronic Brake Control Module: Programming and Setup
- Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
- Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering
