Circuit/System Testing

Verify the battery cable connections are clean and tight.
Verify Voltage is between 12.0 - 15.0 V
- If voltage is less than 12.0 V or greater than 15.0 V
  Refer to Battery Inspection/Test .
- Go to next step: If within the specified range
Test for less than 0.5 V between the positive battery terminal at the C1 Battery and terminal A X6 at the X50D Fuse Block - Battery as the ignition is placed in the CRANK/START position.
- If greater than 0.5 V
  Replace the positive battery cable.
- Go to next step: If less than 0.5 V
Test for less than 0.5 V drop between terminal A X6 at the X50A Fuse Block - Underhood and terminal A X2 at the M64 Starter Motor as the ignition switch is placed in the CRANK/START position.
- If greater than 0.5 V
  Replace the Starter Solenoid Cable.
- Go to next step: If less than 0.5 V
Test for less than 0.5 V drop between negative battery cable and the M64 Starter Motor case as the ignition switch is placed in the CRANK/START position.
- If greater than 0.5 V
  Replace the Battery Negative Cable.
- Go to next step: If less than 0.5 V
Replace the Battery.
