Installation Procedure

  1. GM3665594
    NOTE:

    Use NEW bolts.

    Bolt(2) - Loosely install[2x]

  2. NOTE:

    Use NEW nuts.

  3. Nut(1) - Loosely install[2x]
  4. GM3665592
    NOTE:

    Use NEW bolts.

    Bolt(1)@Front Lower Control Arm Bushing(2) - Loosely install[2x]

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Hold against the nuts (2) to tighten the bolts (1). Use a suitable tool.

    Bolt(2) & Nut(1) - Tighten[2x]

    1. First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: 90 to 105 degrees - EN-45059  meter

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Bolt(1)@Front Lower Control Arm Bushing(2) - Tighten[2x]

    1. First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass:30 to 45 degrees - EN-45059  meter

    NOTE:

    Support the lower control arm ball joint with a hydraulic jack.

    NOTE:

    Hold against the hex of the threaded stud to tighten the nut (1). Use a suitable tool.

    Install the lower ball joint in the steering knuckle.

  8. Install a NEW nut.(1)
  9. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  10. Nut - Tighten[2x]
    1. First Pass:35 N.m (26 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass:30 to 45 degrees - EN-45059  meter
  11. If equipped with the front leveling position sensor, connect the electrical connector.
  12. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  13. Measure and adjust the wheel alignment. Wheel Alignment Measurement
