Installation Procedure

  1. Cruise Control Switch (1) - Install

  2. Cruise Control Release Switch Bracket (1) - Install

  3. Steering Wheel Bolt (1) @Cruise Control Switch - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Steering Wheel Spoke Cover (1) - Install

  5. Connect the electrical connectors.
  6. Steering Wheel Spoke Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  7. Radio Favorites Switch (1) - Install

  8. Connect the electrical connector.
  9. Radio Volume Switch (1) - Install

  10. Connect the electrical connector.
  11. Steering Wheel Shroud (1) - Install

  12. Connect the heated steering wheel module electrical connectors, if equipped.
  13. Install and tighten the 4 steering wheel spoke cover bolts (1). Fastener Specifications

  14. Install and tighten the 4 steering wheel bolts (2). Fastener Specifications
  15. Steering Wheel (2) - Install

  16. If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps:
    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the component using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the component. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
    4. Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
  17. Steering Wheel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  18. Connect the electrical connectors.

  19. Install any connector position assurance (CPA) devices or secondary locks.
  20. Steering Wheel Airbag (2) - Install
  21. Steering Wheel Airbag Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  22. Install the 2 steering wheel airbag access hole covers (1).

  23. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
