Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the connector at the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console
- Verify a test lamp illuminates between terminal 3 and B+
- If the test lamp does not illuminate
Repair the open/high resistance on circuit 350 or the ground connection.
- Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates
- If the test lamp does not illuminate
- Ignition ON.
- Verify the scan tool Traction Control Switch parameter is Inactive.
- If not Inactive
- Test circuit 1788 for a short to ground.
- If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found
- Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If Inactive
- Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between terminal 15 and ground.
- Verify the scan tool Traction Control Switch parameter is Active.
- If not Active
- Test circuit 1788 for an open/high resistance.
- If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found
- Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If Active
- Test or replace the S48E Floor Console Accessory Function Switch.
