Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 connector at the A103 Roof Console. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down.
  2. Test ground circuit terminal 12 for an open/high resistance.
    • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit. 
    • Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found. 
  3. Disconnect the X2 connector at the A103 Roof Console. Ignition ON
  4. Test the following control circuits for greater than 8.5 V
    • Terminal 3 and ground
    • Terminal 4 and ground.
    • If less than 8.5 V on both circuits 
    1. Ignition OFF, test the following circuits for a short to ground.
      • Circuit 2516
      • Circuit 2517
      • If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found.
    2. Test the following circuits for an open/high resistance.
      • Circuit 2516
      • Circuit 2517
      • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
    3. Replace the K73 Telematic Control Module.
    • Go to next step: If greater than 8.5 V on either circuit. 
  5. Replace the A103 Roof Console.
