Installation Procedure

- CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .
Install drain plug (2) and seal and tighten to 39 N.m (29 lb ft).
- Fill the transfer case to the bottom of the fill plug hole with the recommended fluid. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers , and Approximate Fluid Capacities .
- Install fill plug (1) and seal and tighten to 39 N.m (29 lb ft).
- Inspect the cross member to ensure that no oil has drained into the cross member cavity. Clean the cross member if necessary.
