Installation Procedure
Install a NEW fuel tank fuel pump module O-ring gasket (2).
- Put the fuel tank fuel pump module (1) over the fuel tank so that the float (a) is positioned to the right when the vehicle is viewed from the front.
Lower the fuel pump module (2) into the fuel tank while connecting the fuel tank vent pipe (1) to the fuel pump module. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Install the fuel tank fuel pump module lock ring (1) to the fuel tank (2).
- Using the CH-45722 Tool-Fuel Sender Lock Ring and a long breaker-bar, rotate the fuel pump module lock ring (1) in a clockwise direction in order to lock the lock ring.
- Connect the evaporative emission hoses. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Connect the fuel feed pipe. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the fuel tank. Fuel Tank Replacement (FWD)
