Replace and Program B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield or Reprogram B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield

To program a replacement or an existing B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield, perform the following procedure:

  1. Access the Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield - Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield - Configuration and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Clear DTCs
  5. NOTE:

    Some vehicles will immediately enter calibration/learn mode after programming the B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield. These vehicles will set a DTC that cannot be cleared until the calibration/learn is complete. If a DTC is set immediately after programming, and the DTC cannot be cleared, the B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield is already in calibration/learn mode. If this happens, the configuration procedure in step 3 still needs to be completed.

  6. Following B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield programming, the module must be calibrated/learned. Refer to Front View Camera Module Learn .
  7. Drive the vehicle to complete calibration/learn of the B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield. Operate the vehicle in the following conditions until the calibration/learn is complete:
    • Clean windshield
    • Avoid lane changes
    • Maintain vehicle speeds between 56 - 90 km/h (35 - 56 MPH)
    • Ensure the road contains visible references (well defined lane markings, curbs, etc.)
  8. When the calibration/learn procedure is complete, the amber indicator will turn off. Shortly after, the green ready to assist indicating will turn on so long as all conditions are met for normal operation. The system is now ready to assist and, programming and setup is complete.
  9. Clear any DTCs.
