With Scan Tool

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Select: Module Diagnostics
  3. Select: Powertrain Control Module
  4. Select: Configuration / Reset Functions - Engine
  5. Select: Learn Functions
  6. Select: Engine Block Coolant Control Valve Position Learn
  7. Follow the instructions on the scan tool. The procedure will complete within 10 s

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Engine Block Coolant Control Valve Learn Status = Complete

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to: Step 1

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  8. All OK.
