Test 56D - All Taillights Out

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Turn ignition off. Using DRB-II in ohmmeter mode, check resistance on terminal "R" (Black/Yellow wire) of headlight switch 9-pin connector. If vehicle is equipped with vehicle theft alarm module, disconnect module. See Figure .
  2. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace vehicle theft alarm module. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Black/Yellow wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
NOTE: If vehicle is not equipped with vehicle theft alarm module, repair short to ground in Black/Yellow wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
