Main Switch

  1. Remove speed control main switch from instrument panel and disconnect harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check speed control main switch. If speed control main switch does not test as specified, replace switch. See SPEED CONTROL MAIN SWITCH CONTINUITY . See Fig 1.
  2. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage to main switch terminal No. 1 and ground to terminal No. 4. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage on switch terminal No. 5. Voltage should be present with switch in ON position. Voltage should not be present when switch is in OFF position. If switch does not function as described, replace speed control master switch.
