DTC 21

"MD11G" Force Sensor

1) Test "G" force sensor. See "G" FORCE SENSOR under COMPONENT TESTING. If sensor is okay, go to next step. If sensor is faulty, replace sensor.

2) Disconnect ABS-ECU connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, check for voltage between ground and ABS-ECU connector terminal No. 6. See Figure . If reading is 2.3-2.7 volts, go to step 4). If reading is not 2.3-2.7 volts, go to next step.

3) Inspect "G" force sensor connector. Inspect connector between ABS power relay and "G" force sensor. Clean or repair as necessary. Verify if DTC still exists. If DTC still exists, check Black/White and Blue/Black wires between "G" force sensor and ABS-ECU.

4) Inspect ABS-ECU connector. Clean or repair as necessary. Verify if DTC still exists. If DTC still exists, replace ABS-ECU.
