Speedometer Not Functioning

SYMPTOM:
SPEEDOMETER NOT FUNCTIONING

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- VEHICLE SPEED CIRCUIT NOT FUNCTIONING
- BCM MALFUNCTION ON BCM EQUIPPED VEHICLES
- BUS COMMUNICATION MALFUNCTION
- FAULTY CLUSTER
- PINION FACTOR NOT PROGRAMMED

Repair Instructions:
VEHICLE SPEED CIRCUIT NOT FUNCTIONING
Refer to PCM DTC NO VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL.
Perform Transaxle 42LE Verification TEST VER-1A Verification Test VER-1A - Transmission Control System
BCM MALFUNCTION ON BCM EQUIPPED VEHICLES
Refer to Symptoms List for Body diagnostics.
Perform Transaxle, 42LE Verification TEST VER-1A Verification Test VER-1A - Transmission Control System
BUS COMMUNICATION MALFUNCTION
Refer to Communications in the Symptoms List and select the appropriate Symptom for the Bus Communication problem. Perform Transaxle 42LE Verification TEST VER-1A Verification Test VER-1A - Transmission Control System
FAULTY CLUSTER
Refer to Symptoms List for Cluster diagnostics.
Perform Transaxle 42LE Verification TEST VER-1A Verification Test VER-1A - Transmission Control System
PINION FACTOR NOT PROGRAMMED
Use DRB to re-program the Pinion Factor.
