Programming RKE Transmitter With Scan Tool
- Ensure ignition is off. Connect scan tool to 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC). DLCs are located under instrument panel, to right of steering column. See Fig 1
. Close both doors. Turn ignition switch to ACC position, then turn back to LOCK position.

- Press any transmitter button 3 times within 10 seconds. Door will lock and unlock once. If programming a second transmitter, press any button 3 times on second transmitter within one minute of programming first transmitter. Door will again lock and unlock once.
- Programming mode will be cancelled under one of the following conditions:
- Programming of 2 transmitters is completed.
- One minute has passed since programming was completed.
- Scan tool is disconnected.
- Ignition is turned off.
- Any door is opened.
