Ambient Temperature Sensor: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Concorde, and 2002 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The ambient air temperature sensor is located on the inside of the right front bumper beam. See Fig 1 . This sensor will inform the ATC system of the ambient temperature outside the vehicle. This sensor is used by the ATC system to adjust blower speed temperature offsets, evaporator temperatures and mode control.

  1. Remove sensor mounting screw. Disconnect sensor wiring connector.
