Fuel Pump Module: Installation

- Ensure sealing area on shoulder of fuel tank is clean. Install NEW "O" ring on sealing area on shoulder of fuel tank.CAUTION: Alignment tab on bottom side of fuel pump module must engage with notch in fuel tank when installing fuel pump module. DO NOT overtighten fuel pump module lock nut.
- Install fuel pump module on fuel tank so alignment tab on bottom side of fuel pump module engages with locator notch in fuel tank. See Fig 1. Install fuel pump module lock nut. Hold fuel pump module in place while tightening fuel pump module lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Reinstall fuel tank.
