Trunk Release

NOTE: Trunk latch motor and release solenoid are part of trunk latch assembly.

Ensure at least 10 volts is present at trunk release solenoid when switch is pressed. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Ensure there is a good ground through latch mounting bolts. Remove latch and check plunger. Plunger should spring back when pressed. Ensure solenoid plunger travel is at least 5/8" (16 mm). Replace trunk latch assembly if release solenoid does not operate as specified. See TRUNK LATCH ASSEMBLY  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
