Courtesy Light Inoperative With Dome Light Switch

  1. Ensure dome light switch is in the middle position before proceeding. Locate junction block 6-pin connector C10 below horn relay. See Figure. Backprobe with a jumper wire between ground and junction block 6-pin connector C10 terminal No. 4 (Black wire). See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If dome light does not illuminate, go to next step. If dome light illuminates, replace junction block.
  2. Remove fused jumper wire. Disconnect dome light 3-pin connector and ensure connector is clean and not damaged. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and dome light 3-pin connector terminal No. 1 (Black wire). If resistance is less than 20 ohms, replace dome light assembly. If resistance is 20 ohms or greater, repair open in Black wire between dome light and ground.
