Doors Fail To Lock From Any Switch
- Lower both front door windows. Turn ignition off and close all doors. Lock and unlock doors from all door lock switches, including door lock key cylinder switches (if equipped with VTSS). Observe door locks. If all doors fail to lock from all switches, go to next step. If symptom is different, go to another symptom test that matches malfunction description. See POWER LOCKS/RKE SYSTEM .
- Using scan tool, actuate door locks. If doors lock, go to next step. If doors did not lock, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Using scan tool, monitor DR DOOR AJAR state. Close driver's door. If scan tool displays DR DOOR OPEN, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If scan tool does not display DR DOOR OPEN, go to SHORTED DRIVER DOOR AJAR CIRCUIT (SEBRING CONVERTIBLE) or SHORTED DRIVER DOOR AJAR CIRCUIT (EXCEPT SEBRING CONVERTIBLE) under DOOR AJAR.
