Cooling System: Radiator: Installation
- Position radiator into engine compartment. Seat the radiator assembly lower rubber isolators into the mounting holes in radiator lower support.
- Attach air conditioning condenser to mounting clips on radiator. Install mounting screws and tighten to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
- Install the radiator lower hose and clamp.
- Install the transmission cooler line bracket and attaching fastener. See Figure or Figure. Connect transmission hoses and tighten hose clamps to 3 N.m (28 in. lbs.).
- Install the radiator fan.
- Connect radiator fan motor electrical connector.
- Connect engine oil cooler lines (if equipped). Torque lines to 18 N.m (160 in. lbs.).
- Install the radiator upper hose. Align hose so it does not interfere with the accessory drive belt or engine. Position hose clamp so it will not interfere with the hood.
- Install the radiator upper support crossmember.
- Connect negative cable to remote jumper terminal.
- Fill cooling system with coolant.
- Operate engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check cooling system and automatic transmission for correct fluid levels.
