PCM Message Not Received

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Cycle ignition off and on and wait about one minute. Using scan tool, check for DTCs. If DTC does not reset, no problem is indicated at this time. Perform wiggle test on all related connectors and wiring harnesses. Repair wiring as necessary and retest system. If DTC resets, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, select BODY COMPUTER, SYSTEM TESTS then PCM MONITOR. If scan tool displays PCM ACTIVE ON THE BUS, replace CMTC. If scan tool does not display PCM ACTIVE ON THE BUS, go to PCI BUS COMMUNICATION FAILURE  under COMMUNICATIONS.
