NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST
under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear Body Control Module (BCM) DTCs. Open driver's and passenger's front door. Recheck for DTCs. If HALO/DOOR/LIFTGATE LAMP OUTPUT SHORT resets, go to next step. If HALO/DOOR/LIFTGATE LAMP OUTPUT SHORT does not reset, repair short to ground in Yellow/Brown wire between suspect inoperative door courtesy light and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 33. See Figure .
- Using scan tool, clear BCM DTCs. Open liftgate. Recheck for DTCs. If HALO/DOOR/LIFTGATE LAMP OUTPUT SHORT resets, go to next step. If HALO/DOOR/LIFTGATE LAMP OUTPUT SHORT does not reset, repair short to ground in Yellow/Violet wire between suspect inoperative liftgate courtesy light and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 25.
- Turn ignition off. Locate and disconnect BCM connector C4. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . See Figure . Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and BCM connector C4 terminal No. 18 (Yellow/Dark Blue wire). If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Yellow/Dark Blue wire between BCM and halo light.
