Self-Diagnostic System
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chrysler 300M and 2002 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
The Remote Tire Pressure Monitor (RTPM) sensors are not internally serviceable. For a Sensor Failure or Low Battery fault, the RTPM sensor must be replaced.
Use DRBIII(R) to check for TPM diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). For information on using DRBIII(R) and retrieving DTCs, see BODY CONTROL MODULES - CONCORDE, INTREPID & 300M (2002) or BODY DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES (2003). If any TPM DTCs exist, diagnose and repair system. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TESTS table.

Use the DRBIII(R) Input/Output function to further isolate the specific concern. The DRBIII(R) can be queried to determine the Sensor/Transmitter status. The status include the following:
- INVALID PRESSURE - The Sensor/Transmitter is reporting a negative pressure or a pressure more than 63 psi (434 kPa).
- LOW BATT - The Sensor/Transmitter has reported a low battery status for seven consecutive ignition cycles.
- TRAINED - The Sensor/Transmitter ID code is recognized by the EVIC.
- ACTIVE - The vehicle is moving at 25 MPH (40 KM/H) and the Sensor/Transmitter is "awake" and transmitting as expected by the EVIC.
