Removal & Installation

  1. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located on driver's side front corner of engine compartment, between air cleaner and radiator. See Fig 1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Remove air cleaner assembly. Disconnect PCM harness connectors and remove harness clip bracket from PCM bracket. Remove nut from upper bracket mount.
  3. Raise and support vehicle. Remove 2 lower PCM bracket bolts. Remove 4 screws from bracket. Remove bracket from PCM. Remove PCM from vehicle.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Program PCM as necessary. See PROGRAMMING POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE .
