Removal & Installation
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located on driver's side front corner of engine compartment, between air cleaner and radiator. See Fig 1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove air cleaner assembly. Disconnect PCM harness connectors and remove harness clip bracket from PCM bracket. Remove nut from upper bracket mount.
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove 2 lower PCM bracket bolts. Remove 4 screws from bracket. Remove bracket from PCM. Remove PCM from vehicle.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Program PCM as necessary. See PROGRAMMING POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE .
