EEPROM Checksum Failure

under VERIFICATION TESTS after each repair
Monitored & Set Condition
- When Monitored: At ignition ON and during the CTM programming process.
- Set Condition: This is set when an error occurs during programming the CTM's EEPROM.
Possible Causes:
- CTM EEPROM Checksum Failure
Testing
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). Turn ignition off. Wait 15 seconds Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If scan tool displays EEPROM CHECKSUM FAILURE, replace central timer module. See CENTRAL TIMER MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If scan tool does not display EEPROM CHECKSUM FAILURE, test is complete.
