Data Link Connector

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) are accessed through Data Link Connector (DLC) using Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box (DRBIII(R)), scan tool or a Generic Scan Tool (GST). DLC provides an input signal to Powertrain Control Module (PCM) through a Serial Communications Interface (SCI) transmit circuit for scan tool to retrieve DTCs from PCM. DLC input signal is also used by PCM when performing various tests on electronic control system. DLC allows scan tool to communicate with other modules through CCD bus circuit.
