Air Bag Control Module: Notes

WARNING: Air Bag Control Module (ACM) contains impact sensor, which enables Supplemental Restrains System (SRS) to activate air bags. To avoid accidental air bag deployment, DO NOT connect ACM electrically to system unless it is bolted to vehicle. DO NOT strike or kick ACM, internal impact sensor or its calibration may be affected. If ACM is dropped during installation, it must be replaced.
WARNING: Turn ignition off and wait 2 minutes before disconnecting air bag control module connector, air bags are energized for up to 2 minutes after battery is disconnected and may deploy.
