Test No. 18: Remote Keyless Entry System Transmitter Signal Is Not Sent To ETACS ECU

  1. Attempt to program transmitter. See PROGRAMMING in REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS - SEBRING COUPE & STRATUS COUPE article. If transmitter cannot be programmed, go to next step. If transmitter can be programmed, recheck lock, unlock and panic switch input signals.
  2. Remove transmitter battery and measure voltage. If battery voltage is 2.5-3.2 volts, go to next step. If battery voltage is not 2.5-3.2 volts, replace battery. Recheck lock, unlock and panic switch input signals.
  3. Attempt to program a different transmitter. If a different transmitter cannot be programmed, replace ETACS ECU. Recheck lock, unlock and panic switch input signals. If a different transmitter can be programmed, recheck lock, unlock and panic switch input signals.
