Liftgate Hinge: Removal
- Release liftgate latch and open liftgate.
- Support liftgate on a suitable lifting device in the full open position.
- Apply several layers of duct tape on the outside of to roof across the gap to the lift gate to hold the liftgate in position.
- Remove bolts attaching liftgate hinge to roof header.
- Remove bolts attaching hinge to liftgate (Fig 1 ).
- Remove hinge from vehicle.
