Knock Sensor

NOTE: On the 3.3L and 3.8L, knock sensor testing is not available from manufacturer. Only a location is given.

On 2.4L, knock sensor is located on side of cylinder block, in front of starter. On 3.3L and 3.8L, knock sensor is located on side of cylinder block. On all models, knock sensor has a 2-pin connector with Dark Blue/Yellow and Dark Blue/Dark Green wires. Individual component testing is not available from manufacturer. If knock sensor or wiring circuit failure exists, a DTC may be stored in powertrain control module.
