Camshaft Position Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Individual component testing is not available from manufacturer. If Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor or wiring circuit failure exists, a DTC may be stored in the powertrain control module. See DTC P0340: NO CAM SIGNAL AT PCM under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - PT CRUISER article.
