Sentry Key Immobilizer Module: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. If the SKIM is replaced with a new unit, a DRB III® scan tool MUST be used to initialize the new SKIM and to program at least two Sentry Key transponders. (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - TRANSPONDER PROGRAMMING ).
  2. Carefully position the SKIM, the mounting bracket and the antenna ring onto the steering column.
  3. Install the two retaining screws (Figure).
  4. Connect the wire harness connector.
  5. Install the steering column upper and lower shrouds).
  6. Install the knee bolster (Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY ).
  7. Connect the battery negative remote cable.
