Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, 2002 Dodge Caravan, 2002 Chrysler Voyager, and 2002 Chrysler Town & Country. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Sliding door will need to be opened and closed during procedure. Power Sliding Door Module (PSDM) is located in center of sliding door. See Figure.
  2. Remove sliding door upper frame molding. On left sliding door panel, remove screw from inside ash tray bezel. On both doors, remove screw from pull cup. Using a trim stick, carefully disengage retainer attaching trim panel to sliding door. See Fig 1. Remove trim panel from vehicle.
  3. Remove weather shield from door. Disconnect PSDM connectors. Slide Red locking tab out and depress retaining tab. Remove screw attaching PSDM to door. Remove PSDM from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
