OTIS Module Message Mismatch

NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Cycle ignition on and off several times leaving ignition on for approximately 15 seconds. Recheck for DTCs. If OTIS MODULE MESSAGE MISMATCH resets, go to next step. If OTIS MODULE MESSAGE MISMATCH does not reset, conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time. Monitor DTC related parameters on scan tool while wiggling connectors and harness. Check for intermittent poor connections or faulty circuits and repair as necessary. Check for any related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs).
- Using scan tool, attempt to communicate with Compass/Mini-Trip Computer (CMTC), Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) Module. If scan tool communicates with CMTC/EVIC, go to next step. If scan tool does not communicate with CMTC/EVIC, go to NO RESPONSE FROM OVERHEAD CONSOLE under COMMUNICATIONS.
- Turn ignition off. Install a known-good overhead console. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Cycle ignition on and off several times leaving ignition on for approximately 15 seconds. Recheck for DTCs. If OTIS MODULE MESSAGE MISMATCH resets, replace Body Control Module (BCM). See BODY CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If OTIS MODULE MESSAGE MISMATCH does not reset, replace overhead console. See OVERHEAD CONSOLE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
