Loss Of FCM Messages

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY then FRONT CONTROL MODULE. If scan tool identifies or communicates with Front Control Module (FCM), go to next step. If scan tool does not identify or communicate with FCM, go to NO RESPONSE FROM FRONT CONTROL MODULE  under COMMUNICATIONS.
  2. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off and back on. Wait approximately one minute. Recheck for DTCs. If LOSS OF FCM MESSAGES resets, replace Power Liftgate Module (PLGM). See POWER LIFTGATE MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If LOSS OF FCM MESSAGES does not reset, test is complete.
