Memory Positions In Remote Keyless Entry System

Memory Seat and Mirror Module (MSMM) communicates with the RKE system via the Programmable Communications Interface (PCI) bus (Violet/Yellow wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . MSMM settings can be programmed and recalled by the RKE system. To program RKE system for memory recall, set memory seat to desired position. See PROGRAMMING MEMORY POSITIONS IN DRIVER'S DOOR SWITCH  . Within 5 seconds of second chime, press and release LOCK button on RKE transmitter. A chime will sound. To set memory recall for additional RKE transmitters, repeat procedure.

To remove a memory position from an RKE transmitter, turn ignition to the OFF position. Press and release memory button No. 1. Press and release the SET (S) button located on the driver's door. A chime will sound telling you that you are in the set memory mode. You have 5 seconds after the chime to complete the next step. Within 5 seconds, press and release button No. 1 or 2 on the driver's door. A chime will sound signaling you that the driver memory has been set. Within 5 seconds, press and release the UNLOCK button on the remote keyless entry transmitters. A chime will sound, signaling that the transmitter link has been successfully disabled. To disable another transmitter from memory positions No. 1 or 2, repeat the above steps for each transmitter. If vehicle is equipped with Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC), memory position can be removed from an RKE transmitter using the overhead console. See OPTIONS USING OVERHEAD CONSOLE  .
