Fuel Injector: Operation: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Dodge Sprinter. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The injector operation can be subdivided into four operating states with the engine running and the high-pressure pump generating pressure:

  1. Injector closed (with high pressure applied)
  2. Injector opens (start of injection)
  3. Injector opened fully
  4. Injector closes (end of injection)
