Section 103 (Engine Cooling System): Engine: Radiator: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from battery.
  2. Drain the cooling system. (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE - STANDARD PROCEDURE - DRAINING COOLING SYSTEM) .
  3. Disconnect throttle body air inlet hose, remove air cleaner housing assembly. Refer to AIR CLEANER HOUSING .
  4. Remove oil cooler attaching fasteners. Do Not   disconnect oil cooler lines. Reposition oil cooler.
  5. Remove radiator fan fasteners. Do Not   disconnect radiator fan hydraulic lines. Reposition radiator fan. See Figure.
  6. Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses.
  7. Remove the radiator mounting bolts. See Figure.
  8. Remove A/C condenser mounting fasteners. See Fig 1.
  9. Remove radiator from engine compartment. Care should be taken not to damage radiator cooling fins during removal.
