Section 130 (Charging System): Generator: Installation

- Install generator.
- Install the lower mounting bolt and nut. See Figure.
- Install the upper mounting bolt. See Figure.
- Tighten the bolts to 55 N.m (41 ft. lbs).
- Connect the battery positive cable to the generator, and install the B+ stud cap. See Figure.
- Connect the field connector. See Figure.
- Install the accessory drive belt, refer to COOLING for more information. See Figure.
- Install air cleaner assembly, refer to the AIR CLEANER HOUSING for more information.
- Connect the negative battery cable, tighten the nut to 14.2 N.m (125 in. lbs.).
