Section 54 (Exhaust System): Muffler: Installation: Notes

Position the muffler section in the rubber exhaust hangers (1).

Install the bolts in the center exhaust flange (2). Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 ft. lbs.).

Connect the ground strap (1) at the muffler and tail pipe. Tighten the ground strap bolt to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
Remove the support.
Install the rear support bracket. (Convertible only) (Refer to FRAME & BUMPERS/FRAME/BRACKET - INSTALLATION) .
Lower the vehicle.
