Radiator Fan-Removal3.0L Diesel

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Detach coolant line from lower radiator shroud.NOTE: The radiator fan assembly is attached (threaded) to the fan pulley. Remove the fan blade/viscous fan drive assembly from the fan pulley by turning the mounting nut clockwise as viewed from the front. Threads on the radiator cooling fan are REVERSE THREADED (LEFT-HAND THREAD).
- Using Counterholder 8930 or equivalent tool (2) to hold pulley, remove fan blade/viscous fan drive assembly (1, 5).
- Remove upper air seal.
- Remove upper radiator hose.
- Remove radiator fan shroud and radiator fan.
NOTE:
Store the viscous fan clutch in the upright position. DO NOT place down flat.
