LOWERT Control Arm

- Remove the floor pan screws (1).
- Remove the upper strut mounting bolts (3).
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the front wheels. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the rear half of the wheel well liner to allow the strut (2) to be removed.
- Remove the wheel sensor wire from the routing clip.
- Remove the disc brake caliper adapter (1). Refer to REMOVAL . Hang the caliper (4). Do not allow brake hose to support the caliper weight.
- Remove the rotor set screw (1) and the rotor (3) from the hub/bearing.
- Remove the retaining nut holding the tie rod (2) to the steering knuckle (4).
- Separate the tie rod (2) off the steering knuckle (4) using special tool 9360 (1).
- Remove the lower bolts (2) from the knuckle.
- Remove the strut (1) from the steering knuckle.
- Remove the lower ball joint nut from the steering knuckle.
- Separate the lower ball joint from the knuckle using special tool 9282.
- Remove the spring stop plate bolts (2) and rotate the plate (1) upwards with the stabilizer link attached. See REMOVAL .
- Remove the lower control arm pivot nuts (1) and bolts (2) from the frame.
- Remove the lower control arm (3).
