Removal And Installation: Installation
- Position the steering column in the vehicle. Install the steering column nuts (1), and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the wire retainer (2) back to the steering column.
- Connect the steering column to the steering gear. The hole in steering column must align with whistle notch in the steering gear. Hand start a NEW pinch bolt (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the gap hider. Refer to GAP HIDER, STEERING COLUMN SHROUD, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
